Rivers of Riddles; Thamalakane.
Tonight, I seek sleep,
on a seabed of water lilies.
No shadows of thoughts,
overflowing my banks.
The river spits out saliva
filled with sea-shells.

Floetry by JulietKego:
And the Universe Danced with us (aka Dancing in Maun).
Tonight, let us dance
let us find ourselves a-rhythm
with each sautéing step,
the world will watch us
cook up a feast
let the universe wing a beat
roll out her thundering drums
sing herself hoarse
in the shouting sounds
of the furious dry waves.
Let her throw a hissy fit,
Come, come, and let us go
through the eyes of time’s portals,
to the magical, ancient land of Thuso,
where ordinary (wo)men, mere mortals
dare to do the sacred work of angels and saints.
silent tearless cries,
from bloodless, hollow heart,
dreaming deadweight dreams,
in an empty, shallow, soulless spirit.
We, the flock, can smell
That bullshit you’re trying to sell.
Don’t think for a moment that we don’t know
that you’re putting up a hell of a fake ass show.
We came here today, exactly for this;
You are our escape from madness, our seventh day of bliss.
Welcome back!
May you delight in this new found world
Where the magic of childhood and motherhood
Becomes one and the same
Each day you’ll bask in magical moments
Short spaces of time before morning comes
When the earth is still fast asleep
